This sermon introduces us to the church which was in Thessalonica with the aim of understanding their spiritual needs and our own. The church at Thessalonica was dear to Paul and Paul was dear to that church. This letter of encouragement to his friends reminds us how we ought to be living as Christians and what it is we need in the midst of a world which is antogonistic to Jesus and his followers.
