Emmaus Road Baptist Church has partnered with two missionary families to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
The Little Family has been serving in St. Lucia since 2017, working to plant Miccoud Baptist Church on the eastern side of the island.
Saint Lucia is a small Independent Island found among what are known as the Windward Islands in the Eastern Caribbean. It is a small Island, only about 238 square miles, with a population somewhere between 180-200,000 people. Saint Lucia is no doubt a beautiful Island evidenced by the amount of tourists that frequent it year after year, but is an Island that is steeped in Catholicism and is in great need of the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our desire is to plant churches along the west coast in the many communities that have little to no gospel witness in them. Would you pray with us that God would send us to the field in His time and that we might see many souls saved for HIS glory.
Puerto Rico is located in the center of the Caribbean Sea, one thousand miles from Florida. The island is one hundred miles by thirty-five miles. The island has been a U.S. territory since 1898. Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens by birth and the official languages are Spanish and English. There is no state religion but the majority of people claim to be Catholic. The demographic situation is changing fast due to a rapid exodus to the U.S. mainland after hurricane Maria in September 2017.
The Pizarro family’s ministry is to plant fundamental baptist churches in the center of the island of Puerto Rico. After hurricane Maria, around three thousand churches where destroyed across the island. Now the island has to be reconstructed. It’s a door that God opened to plant new, sound doctrine churches in this area of the world.
