One of two ordinances given by God to the local church is that of the Lord’s Supper.  Also commonly referred to as communion or the Lord’ Table, the Lord’s Supper is a special ordinance which the Lord Himself gave to His church. It is rich in symbolism and meaning and thus its observance was commanded by Christ on the night which He was betrayed by Judas Iscariot.

This event is both a time of thankfulness for the price which Christ has paid, and a time of excited anticipation of His imminent return.

We will be observing the Lord’s Supper as part of the service on Sunday, July 26th.  The service starts at 10:45 AM.

At Emmaus Road Baptist Church we believe and practice that the Lord’s Supper is only for those who are saved, baptized, and members of a church of like-faith.  If you fit all of those categories, you would be welcome to participate in this ordinace with us!  Others should refrain until they meet all the conditions.
