Ministries that effectively win the lost and encourage and strengthen believers are what our church strives for. We hope that if you are visiting our church you will find a home with us and if you are a member of our church you will take part in one or more of these ministries.

    Awana

Awana helps churches and parents work together to develop spiritually strong children and youth who faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Our programs offer a proven approach for evangelizing and discipling kids in the church and community. As a ministry leader for 60 years, Awana is making an impact. A recent national survey found Awana to be as important to our alumni’s spiritual foundation as all other church activities combined. Among alumni who participated in our programs for at least six years, 92.7 percent still attend church at least weekly as adults!

Each week, more than one million kids ages 2 to 18 participate in Awana. Over 12,000 churches in the U.S. and more than 8,000 internationally run Awana programs that change young lives through biblical truth.

  • Greeters

greeters First Corinthians 12:28 refers to greeters as the ministry of helps. We help the Pastor fulfill the vision God has given him by making those who come through the doors of the church feel at home. Our responsibility is to help all who come to worship feel joy, sincerity, importance, peace and comfort when they enter the doors of the church. It is so important that we help everyone feel welcomed. The Word of God calls us an ambassador of the Most High God to His people. This means that we are His spokespersons on Earth. It is essential to understand as a Greeter, we are the first persons that visitors and members see when they enter the church door, we have to always show the love of Christ. It is our responsibility to let visitors and members know that we humbly appreciate them fellow-shipping with us. We are committed to ensuring guest that guest are served, that their needs and concerns are met, and that they feel the joy of the Lord upon entering our Worship Service.
  • Ushers

ushers The Usher Ministry serves as the church doorkeepers to ensure that worshipers feel welcome and assist the Pastor by maintaining reverence and order so members and visitors may receive the message. Ushers combine a warm welcome with a pleasant smile as they direct and seat worshipers.

Luke 9:23 (KJV)
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

As Jim Elliot, who was martyred in missionary service in Ecuador, would say, “He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain that which he cannot lose.”

What are we giving to Christ today?

Missionary Hudson Taylor

So what is the pressure in your life right now? Is it dividing you from the Savior or pressing you closer to Him?

We shouldn’t be surprised. Jesus told us this would happen. When we live righteous, counter-cultural, Biblical lives, it will offend this dark world.

When the heavens shall ring, and the angels sing, When the heavens shall ring, and the angels sing,
At Thy coming to victory,
Let Thy voice call me home, saying "Yet there is room,
There is room at My side for thee."
My heart shall rejoice, Lord Jesus,
When Thou comest and callest for me.

He left His throne in heaven, dwelling on earth with sinful man, in order to make it possible for us to dwell with Him for eternity. He desires to be close to us; He was motivated by His love for us. Today let’s be motivated by love for Him as we ponder all that it meant for Jesus to leave His throne—for us.

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God...

Ephesians 1:5-6 (KJV) 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
Thou camest, O Lord, with the living word That sho Thou camest, O Lord, with the living word
That should set Thy people free;
But with mocking scorn, and with crown of thorn,
They bore Thee to Calvary.
O come to my heart, Lord Jesus,
There is room in my heart for Thee.

This hymn was written by Emily Elliott as a mnemonic way to teach the Gospel to Sunday School children. It is not just a Christmas gun, because it tells the story of Christ—His coming, and WHY He came.

“The mighty One has chosen to dwell with us, to trade His rightful crown for one of ignoble scorn in order to revive our broken spirits and redeem our wayward hearts.” —Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth
