Is it okay to be open-minded? Pastor explained on Is it okay to be open-minded? Pastor explained on Sunday that when Eve listened to the Serpens in the garden, she was displaying Biblical simplicity. In the book of Proverbs we find that to be a simple person means to be open minded.

A wise person could be illustrated as a glass soda bottle. It has a small opening at the top and everything that goes in or out is filtered. On the other hand, a simple person is like a huge bowl. Anything can go in and anything can go out. The simple person is open-minded in that he or she’s believes everything and is tossed to and fro with everything thought process or new and in-vogue idea.

We are not to be open-minded. Everything—especially that which the world is pushing at us from every side—is to be filtered through God’s Word. Only that which aligns with His Truth is to be believed and lived.

Additionally, being open-minded does not mean that we tolerate everything simply for the sake of not offending someone. If something is contrary to God’s Truth we need to have boldness to lovingly contradict false teaching and beliefs.

“That’s your truth.” “That’s your truth.”

“Just go and live your truth.”

“Speak your truth.”

Actually, there is only ONE truth. It is absolute truth. It is God’s truth. It is unchanging. It is displayed in the person of Jesus. It is revealed in God’s Word, the Bible. Anything that contradicts it or veers from it or changes it is falsehood.

We do not get to decide truth for ourselves. And when it comes to eternity, we need to know that there is only ONE way to go to heaven, and it is through Jesus Christ. Message us if you want to know more or go through a Bible Study explaining more.

Is there such a thing as the “perfect” crime? Is there such a thing as the “perfect” crime? This weeks message from Genesis looks at the first sin ever committed. In Greek, the “perfect” tense of a word means something which happens at a point in time and then has ongoing effects. The choices of Adam and Eve have effects upon all of humankind to Thais day.

Sometimes when watching a movie with your kids, yo Sometimes when watching a movie with your kids, you need to pause and explain what just happened. In Genesis 2, God stops and explains with further detail the events which took place on Day 6. This chapter reveals the goodness of God directed toward man and the paradise which existed in the garden of Eden. It serves to show, what mankind would lose when Adam and Eve sinned in the next chapter.

“Titus 2:1-10 outlines the content of the good l “Titus 2:1-10 outlines the content of the good life which the Gospel creates. But these verses also describe the context in which this good life is to be lived. And that context is a community in which people are discipling one another.

“Discipleship takes place in community. Christians don’t thrive as lone sheep; we are meant to live in flocks. And an important feature of that community-based discipleship is that it happens across generations. The whole letter [of Titus] is about an older man nurturing the faith and ministry of a younger one.” —Tim Chester
